Gavin's journey in barbering has seen him establish and successfully run two esteemed establishments: Gavin James the Gentleman's Barber and Scholars & Scoundrels. His hands-on experience and deep understanding of the industry have cemented his reputation as a leading figure in the barbering community.

While Gavin has a profound love for the art of barbering, his true passion lies in teaching. He finds immense reward in nurturing the next generation of barbers, sharing his extensive knowledge, and fostering their growth and success. This passion for education led him, alongside his business partner Jordan Malone, to open Mentor
Barber Academy.

Zach McCauley

My name is Zach McCauley , I’m 21 Years old & I began my barbering career with Jordan at Dean Samuels about 5 years ago. In that time I have consistently worked to gain knowledge and experience within with industry to allow myself to grow. I have been apart of hair shows across the UK & Ireland with the Great British Barberbash concisely. I have helped lead a team at Dean Samuels which is now a multi-award winning barbershop and now I want to pass my knowledge and understanding on to you.

Jack Hoy

I first loved barbering for solely cutting hair as a creative outlet, but as time went on I’ve found a love for the growth and development that comes along with it, both professionally and personally.

I have worked in London offering the highest standard of hair cutting. I then decided to come home & managed a shop in the Belfast City Centre and now currently work in Dean Samuels Gentleman’s Barbers were I have learnt and grown so much that I can now become an educator and share my knowledge with you.
